The HAAN GS-30 is a professional grade garment steamer and sanitizer. Turn it on and in less than 40 seconds this well-built 1500-watt powerhouse is ready to use. Nine high-velocity steam jets on an oversized head smooth away wrinkles and freshen up fabrics in seconds — faster and much gentler than a traditional tabletop iron, without the stiffness and danger of scorching. The built-in hanger, adjustable clips, horizontal locking bar and handy accessories like the crease tool, handheld pressing board, lint, upholstery, fur and fabric brushes make it easy to quickly give your clothes that “fresh from the dry cleaner” look.
Emitting steam at 212˚F, the GS-30 also eliminates germs and bacteria like e.coli, salmonella, dust mites and more, in only one second. The HAAN Professional Garment Steamer and Sanitizer includes a telescopic hanger pole that reaches 62” off the ground. The large capacity removable water tank is easy to fill and delivers over an hour of continuous steam. The deluxe four-caster wheel system and well-balanced base adds stability and allows the unit to glide from room to room. And the heavy gauge hose and wand keep things cool when steaming and attach easily to the unit when not in use.

I have used this steamer for just over 1 year now, with an average use of once a week (lets call it 54 times max.). The unit will no longer function due to what appears to be a faulty thermostat. The system will now steam for only 1 min. before it defaults into a low water mode. I have maintained this unit to the specific guidlines associated with the manual, including NEVER leaving residual water in the system. Note that in addition my house is fitted with a high end Kinetico soft water filtration system, which is providing good quality water for the reservoir.I have contact HAAN and their position is that they can not help me. I am very dissapointed with this unit and highly suggest that the buyer be aware of this HAAN product, as well as their lack of product warranty and customer service.FYIHaan GS30 Professional Garment Steamer with Attachments

It gives great steam and lots of it! I have 2 major issues with this steamer.... the rod is about 1 foot too short to be an effective rack to steam cloths on! And the second is that the plastic hose has "Melted" right below the handle... I have had this about 45 days now and I already have a hole worn through it. I ended up with a 3rd degree burn on my rib cage area when the hose melted through during use.Update! 1/1/12 This steamer melted 2 hoses and then it caught on fire. They have sent me a new one after making me pay the $44.00 return shipping charge and we will see what happens with the new one. However I honestly have to say this has not been a positive experience at all as since May when I purchased it I have spent more time getting parts and the entire machine replaced then I have spent steaming my cloths. There is something seriously wrong with this picture. Heaven forbid I had walked out of the room to hang cloths on the hook when it started shooting sparks. As it was my entire house stank of burned rubber for 3 days and then I had to pay $44.00 to ship it back to them. Happy... NO NOT REALLY! They did send me a new product however, after each and every "contact" their response was to say they were shipping out a new hose or unit and after not receiving anything for 2 weeks I would call them again and 1 time they stated sorry that wasn't sent out let me do so now, second time it was oh someone was suppose to call you back that they wanted a photo of the current hose, and the 3rd was oh they want you to mail the unit back first. When I asked if they had a return label I could print they told me I had to ship their defective item back to them on my own dime. (again $44.00 to ship UPS ground). I honestly do not look forward to dealing with them for the next 5 months on this steamer but they will continue to replace it till my warrantee warrantee is out. I have never been treated so badly over a defective product it just makes me think that these are common issues and they get tired of the same complaints and do whatever they can to just frustrate people enough so they just go away!

Easy set up. Very functional. Great design. Convenient. Steam comes out quick once plugged in and turned on. Only problem is the action. It took me several minutes---ten or so minutes--to steam a cotton/polyester blend skirt. It still did not completely take away the wrinkles. Very disappointed. However, the steam works great with 100% cotton material. Everything is wonderful except for its effectiveness on fabrics with blends.
