2Worst iron I have ever owned!!!
By Karen D. Downing
My title says it all. I have never been so tempted to hurl an appliance across the room as I am when using this iron! It has a shut-off feature which kicks in after 8 minutes of non-use. Sounds like a great idea, but it never knows when to turn itself back on! It's supposed to have an internal motion sensor so that when you pick it back up, it starts reheating again. That RARELY happens though. I have stood there shaking the heck out of this thing, up and down, side to side, in a circle, mid-air figure 8s...nothing works! I tried turning it off, then on again, but to no avail. The only way I seem to be able to get it to acknowledge my presence is to unplug it and plug it back in. What a pain in the butt! And then this morning, the final straw. Right in the middle of ironing, I mean ACTIVELY ironing my pants, and the damn thing shuts itself off! It gives me the 5 little warning beeps and then starts cooling down. So not only are my pants still wrinkly, now they're also streaked with water dripping from the iron! This thing has one more time to mess with me and it's gonna find itself in a crumpled heap out on the curb! Oh and if you're wondering why I gave it 2 stars if I hate it so much, it's because when it DOES work (and that ain't often!) it will definitely knock the wrinkles out of whatever you're ironing, FAST! However, if you value your time in the least, look elsewhere and don't waste it on this clunker!!!

1Cheap but not worth the price
By RoMo
This was a very cheap iron ($25) and it wasn't even worth that. After two weeks I sent it to Goodwill Industries. (I hope that isn't a sin). The non-stick soleplate dragged over the material and frequently created wrinkles rather than removing them.My primary use of an iron is to press off a shirt each morning before work and occasionally freshen the creases on a pair of slacks. This is not the tool.I bought this as a cheap replacement for my $80 Shark whose electronics went wonky. BAD DECISION!!!Cord Reel - The only thing on this iron that pleased meNonstick Soleplate - Lies, lies, nothing but lies. It often grabbed the material and dragged it into a ridge which I then pressed permanently into the shirt. The best way I found to use this iron was to pick it up, place it on the shirt, hold it there for a few seconds, lift, reposition, repeat.Steam - lots of it, enough to steam up my glasses but emptied quickly. Steam amount was based on temperature.Steam Surge - yeah, it had this but who needs more steamSpray Mist - I'd rather use a Windex bottle. It was really chintzy.Anti-Drip - It did drip occasionally but not excessivelyAuto Clean - Never had a chance to try it. I use distilled water in my irons so this may never have come up.Ironing Ease - a real drudgery. Turned a 10 minute task into a 25-minute ordeal. It did sit nicely on its heel on the ironing board without toppling.Would not recommend this iron to my enemies much less my friends.

5Perfect for Everyday Ironing
By Kelly Packard
I'm shocked to read the awful reviews on this iron. I purchased this iron about two years ago for my new apartment. I hang most of my clothes up as soon as they come out of the dryer, but there are a few things I air dry and a few things that need ironing regardless. I iron about 5-8 pieces of clothing a week, and this iron gets the job done. I have no problems with the nonstick plate - some of my shirts and pants are weird material that my old iron would catch and pull out strings, but not this iron. I use the steam often on my pants and on dresses I don't want to iron directly, so I don't know why others would complain that this feature exists. It dripped only when I overfilled or missed the hole when filling and then immediately used it with water on the sides from where I dripped. I guess I'm confused by others' bad experiences because I really like this iron. It was inexpensive but a quality product. I really like the cord reel, and it functions correctly unlike vacuums and hair dryers which have cord reel but they don't reel the cord completely in.
