Great Product for Clothing

What i like about it:-The steamer heats up to scolding steam in about a minute.-The hose is nice with the fabric lining which helps reduce chance of accidental burns.-Super useful pants crease attachment, works great for other parts of clothes too!!-The handle is wonderful! It is very well insulated and has a little bit of a spongier grip.-The on off button in HUGE, so its easy to turn on with your foot without bending over.-Nice little storage bins on the sides to hold the 2 attachments (brush for delicates, and pant creaser) it comes with.-It has a great sturdy base, and the poll feels very sturdy and has 3 functions.1.Hang clothes2.Hang steam head when not in use/place to rest it3.Holds power cord when moving it around (the type that most vacuum cleaners have)The only things i don't like about it (why only 4/5 stars):- Doesn't have a long enough hose to do tall curtains. I want a little longer hose to reach tall 7 or 8 foot curtains..(its specifically the proper length to steam all types of garments on its poll which does work well for a 6'3" guy like myself... not for curtains though)- I want more attachments!! maybe a de-linter (for pet hair), or a fabric cloth on the end to filter out tap water minerals.SOME RESEARCH INFO ABOUT GARMENT STEAMERS FOR THE NEWBIEAfter doing a bunch of research, a garment steamer is designed to unwrinkle fabrics naturally (NOT PRESS AND MAKE CRISP), and help remove funky odors / disinfect.They are NOT designed to "blast" steam out at a high intensity like some steam irons do with the steam blast button.After realizing that fact, this product does exactly what its designed to do: (produce a scolding hot steam to relax fabrics naturally while removing odors and disinfecting)I think the tip that helped me the most is to not "rush" through steaming the clothes, that ends up taking MORE time.Instead, at a nice slow pace pass the wand up and down the garment, and in less that 2 minutes a wrinkly suit coat is nice and wrinkle free!As for shirts, they will have a wrinkle free/relaxed look). Also, COTTON shirts are quite a bit harder to remove wrinkles from, especially if its really wrinklie, it does help to gently pull on the fabric while the head of the steamer is pressed against it moving up and down slowly.. A super wrinklie COTTON shirt can take up to 5 minutes to get all the stubborn wrinkles out(remember, slower is better, don't rush with the wand). Honestly if a COTTON shirt is that bad, just iron it (will take just about as long), or throw it in the drier for 10 minutes.I hope this helps out all those people thinking of switching to steamers vs irons! I feel they both are useful. If you want CRISP, use an iron, if you want RELAXED and a Quick way to de-wrinkle, use a STEAMER

This is my first garment steamer - but I liked the feel of the fabric covering around the main hose, the other ones had a kind of hard plastic wrapping. You have full steam in about 20 seconds and we LOVE using this instead of the old iron and ironing board. It also has a tool to crease the collars and sleeves so you can still have that freshly "pressed" look. The only engineering bug is it doesn't really follow you around very well with just the two wheels on the back. Instinctually, I tug a little on the hose to get a little further reach and it kind of bounces all over the carpet even if I need it to budge just a foot or two.

Great steamer for the money

For this price point, this steamer is an amazing deal. It heats up within 30-60 seconds and produces a substantial amount of steam. The included stand is helpful to hang any and all garments, and the on/off button at the base is very easy to use as well. I've had other steamers that were actually more expensive than this one, that don't even compare in performance, let alone price. Keep in mind it is best to use distilled water with a steamer like this to avoid long term clogging due to debris from normal tap water.
